ABMHF originally formed to support our small independent museums in their journey to accreditation. The Forum has since widened its sphere of activity to support the whole heritage sector : whether that is the many volunteers, community groups, businesses, across our whole geographical area, covering the places, people, islands, mainland, tangible and intangible aspects of our history from early prehistory to recent times.
The Forum is now a Scottish registered charity (SCIO-SC050209), involved in training, collaborative working with partners like CHARTS, and gradually developing new directions to build networking between members and share the new skills.

We have a really exciting project Creating Connections :  Winter 23 – Summer 24 to build more connections between members, to increase our membership and to learn new ways to illustrate the breadth and depth of our heritage across Argyll and Bute. Join us now to be involved.

We are always interested in hearing from anyone who would be interested in helping further our aims and activities.

If you are involved in heritage in any way, large or small, individual, professional or volunteer, you are encouraged to join the Forum. Membership is free, you are most welcome.
