Launch of Argyll and Isles Digital Heritage Map

Revealing the new Argyll and Isles Interactive Digital Heritage Map

online Heritage Café : October 23rd 2024 2.00pm - zoom link below.

Argyll & Bute Museums & Heritage Forum are very excited to invite you to our October online heritage café to show you our new Argyll and islands wide online heritage map.
Sara Mcgourty, who led our excellent GIS digital mapping training earlier in the year, has been working hard to develop the first steps towards a comprehensive interactive digital map of our incredible heritage across our whole area.
The map is part of our planned updated website. The website has yet to be fully developed, this is the last part of our 2024 Creating Connections project, and we look forward to your input into what you would like to see us include for our online presence. So far, Jill has started to refresh the appearance and brought over some of the basic content.
Sara will show us what she has included, how to navigate around the map, and what its potential can be.
The map will be a remarkable resource for us, for our partners to connect it, even as it stands, and even more exciting is how we can develop it with help from yourselves.
Sara will also update us on the recent LIDAR releases in our area.
If you know anyone who would like to join in to see the map, please share this invitation.
