A few notes
Mc and Mac – it is vital to understand that the spellings of Mac\/Mc names are entirely interchangeable, and have there is no distinction in terms of locality, religion, or clan. It is only in relatively recent times that names became set and replicated the same way. When transcribing records it is not uncommon to find both Mc and Mac used in the same document.\u00a0
