Before the talk we will be holding our 2026 AGM reporting on our activIties of the year. We are known for our speedy AGMs so won't keep you hanging around long, we promise. This year we will require a Extraordinary General Meeting before the AGM to secure the continuation of the meeting. SEE AGENDA below for details.
The MOST URGENT aspect of our AGM is the need for new Trustees.
We are seeking new Trustees for the ABMHF Board.This voluntary role will help set the strategic direction of our organisation and support our work to foster a thriving, connected, and resilient sector.
Experience of charity governance would be useful but is not essential.
We are particularly keen to appoint people involved in the museums and heritage sector from remote and rural areas - people with some knowledge and experience in Government and Public Affairs, and Climate Action.
Although this is useful it is not essential.
Applications from people from all socio-economic backgrounds, from disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, and those under the age of 30 are particularly encouraged.

Through MGS funding we have Gauri Raje coordinating the monthly Cafes until March 2027, and we have offers of other funding BUT we have ZERO capacity to do anything with it.
